antique flooring - wide plank flooring
Our mission is to provide our customers with only the best antique heart pine flooring along with the manufacturing of our custom millwork, wide plank flooring, stair parts, fire place mantels, post and beams.

Antique flooring was first run by What It's Worth, Inc. in 1979 in Baton Rouge, La. We moved to our current location in Austin, Texas in 1987.  We specialize in making antique flooring from reclaimed lumber taken from buildings that were built in the late 19th and early 20th century.  We travel to each and every demolition site throughout the United States buying the very best old timbers and boards to be brought back to our processing plant in Austin.

Our heart pine flooring follows eight grading steps that are adhered to stringently from purchase to sale.  The vast majority of our stock is Southern yellow pine, with an emphasis on long leaf lumber, to make our antique flooring.  We will also deal in Douglas fir, Virgin Tidewater cypress and Eastern white pine to produce exposed rustic timbers and the look of old wood flooring.

The antique flooring business started by Harold Faust, III grew from accumulating reclaimed lumber in the form of timbers, post, boards, cypress tank lumber, cypress siding and sinker logs to produce custom millwork for his own home.  As the material continued to grow past Mr. Faust's needs he decided to present some of his salvaged lumber for sale.  Sales are held to Mr. Faust's standards of quality and character.  Quality recycled timbers and post are sold on a quote basis.  Our grading system allows our customers with specific interior design ideas a clear choice of which way they want their home or business to look.  Our inventory of antique Flooring and antique lumber is protected from the elements upon arriving and through all the processing, including transport to your home.

Our goal is to produce and sell antique long leaf heart pine flooring with an extraordinary look each and every time.  We strive to present a product whether it be a wide plank flooring of character with its rough sawn timber look of distressed antique flooring; or the clear, clean look of our tight grained quartersawn antique pine flooring, that was available to buyers over one hundred years ago.

We will sell our customers an antique lumber product that is worth the value you seek to pay for; hence the name of our unique business, WHAT IT'S WORTH, INC.
